2011 is done, so are the first 5 out of 30 exams and I can finally find some time to blog again.

I recently received my well timed and well deserved Dota 2 Beta Key and spend the Christmas holidays stomping some noobs.
So far my expectations are about 90% fulfilled. There's just a lag of heroes and a working rating system.
Many heads exploded already when I played with first-time-rts-or-online-game creatures, but it's still enough fun to click on "find game" after being raped in the last one and leading to 78% total games won.

I am always looking for some group-joines. So if you feel like and you are good enough in Dota, feel free to message me in steam.

Further I gifted myself a new smartphone after two years with my HTC HD2 running Android.
Since the iPhone 4S is absolutely no option for me and I don't want to wait for a maybe even more disappointing iPhone 5 somewhere in fall of 2012, I decided to stick with Android (4.0) and the Google Galaxy Nexus. The Galaxy S2 was an option as well, but the amazing 1280x720 display of the Nexus caught me in the end...

So far I am absolutly happy with the phone itself and Ice Cream Sandwich. There are so many nice changes, tweaks or new ideas, that make Android 4.0 not just competitive with iOS 5, it makes it better in my opinion.
Synchronizing your pictures, Google+ or even Blogger with ICS is finally possible and well implemented. For me, there's no more need to get an iPhone next to my iPad just because of iCloud and some comfortable syncing options or Siri. Google does it as good as iOS 5 and Google's Voicesearch is almost as nice as Siri, without the need to release a reworked, overpriced phone just for that reason.
Since I recently sold my AppleTV (PS3 is just better in everything...) I'm even thinking about selling my iPad and quit my Apple journey after just 4 months (after years of hating).

I... I tried really hard to like it. I fucking love the first one, had tons of fun with the second, although somehow less good game, I almost creamed my pants on the first ME3 trailer but this...

They have to make "Modes"?

 - Hamburger Helper Mode where you watch the game play itself like it's a movie, really?

- And then as an afterthought they put in an "RPG" mode which will sit uncomfortably between the two like a thin man stuffed between two hambeasts on an airplane and even worse dialogues with even less influence on story and gameplay?

I'm not going to buy Mass Effect 3. This is the third preorder I cancled in the second half of this year.

Out of 5 games I was waiting for like a little child waits for christmas.

First of all I have to admit that I pre-ordered Battlefield 3.

I canceled it after playing the open beta of BF3 and the big disappointment it was.

After hearing that it's single player is about 3 hours of  (maybe even intensive) gameplay and a multiplayer full of bugs, lags and missing big innovative changes to the past 2341089 Battlefield titles, I decided to not buy it at all and instead wait for Moden Samefare 3, which at least never disappointed me in atmospheric and longer singleplayer.

Now I've heard about some unbelievable facts about the TOS from EA's Steam-clone "Origin".

Check this quotation from the TOS you agree after spending 60€ on the described piece of scum and opening it, which means you can't even get your money back if you decline the TOS.

Basically Origin is a spyware tool which collects all data it wants to know about, even if its far beyond gaming and hardware.

So in other words: You're spreading your legs for EA's giant run-up taking Spywaredick and kindly ask it to do whatever it wants to do with you.

Makes it way easier for me to not buy yet again another EA game.

No problemo, more money for Modern Warefare 3, Uncharted 3, Skyrim :)))

Minecraft again

I'd like to advertise once again for my own minecraft server.

We - currently 3 reliable players - are looking for 3-6 more players who'd like to join us.

The server is set up to pure survival multiplayer.

We don't cheat and we don't use consolecommands. PvP is disabled.

All we've build so far has been a lot of work from two of us, so you'll find an almost untouched world with plenty of nice places where you can do your thing.

Your thing means that you can build anything anywhere you want, as long as you talked to other players before.

iOS 5 Released

(Alternative title: ffffffffffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuu-)

iOS 5 just got released a couple of hours ago as intended.

My first impressions are OH WAIT I JUST TRIED TO UPDATE IT FOR 5 FUCKING TIMES NOW AND IT STILL FAILS WITH ERROR 3200.

So, this post is dedicated to Error 3200 which you get after watching the status bar slowly backing up your iPad/iPhone/iPod and updating it, just to fail in the end.

The reason and "workaround" is as stupid as obvious:
The Apple servers are currently at their limit and when finalizing the updateprocess, iTunes tries to verify data with Apple servers. If this fails, you get Error 3200.

Workaround: Try it again. (and again [and again])


UPDATE: Retrying is indeed the only way to bypass it. Took me 9 tries to finally get it updated.

iPhone 5 revealed

This evenings most important news for me first:

iOS 5 is going to be released on wednesday next week, 12th of october.


This is a great news for me as I had great doubts that it would be released this month or even next because of the still missing gold-beta for developers and absolutly no estimated time ahead from apple regarding its release. It's also the most important news for me, since the presentation and stats of the new iPhone are "slightly" disappointing to me. Since I won't switch to the new iPhone, which I wanted to, the iCloud is suddenly no longer that interesting to me, too.

iPhone 5 - or as it will be called: iPhone 4S:
The iPhone 4S will be, as expected, way faster than the iPhone 4, thanks to the A5 dualcoreprocessor which is already known from the iPad 2.
This boost in performance will be noticeable in games - I don't think it's that much needed for normal usage in smartphone at the moment to be honest.

Furthermore the camera received an update from former 5 megapixels to now 8 megapixels and is now capable of recording 1080p movies. The iPhone 4S antenna has been improved, too. Kind reminder on the iPhone 4 launch at Steve Jobs comment: "If you're experiencing problems witch your radio during calls, don't hold it the way you do."

With Samsungs lately released top smartphone the Galaxy S2 and my own, still awesome, HTC HD2 running ported Android in mind, I really have to say as already mentioned, there are no stunning news at all this evening and my euphoria of getting myself an iPhone 5 (4S) next to my iPad 2, which I bought after years of apple hating, has grounded again.
Last summers WWDC presentation has been way more impressive than this hyped "Let's talk iPhone" event.

Minecraft Realism Mods

Hallo tharr!

As promised in my last post I'd like to introduce to you my modded minecraft.

It looks realistic at fuck.

Ok not really, but still far beyond what normal minecraft looks like and with some 2011 water shaders, high res textures and bumpmapping (coming soon) it at least looks like a game from 2011.

Although the videoquallity sucks (Sony Vegas 8 Trial can't even 720p, lol), it still gives a good impression of what is possible in minecraft. As soon as I get my bumpmapping mod to work with the other two, I'll update the post and video.

Installation is pretty easy and it's all explained in the links as well.

Some time has passed since my last post, plenty of stuff changed and/or became new.
Today has been my first school day, just 12 years ahead and I'm allowed to drink! Jk.
I've been working in my jobtraining for about 5 months now, today was my first day at university.

Deus EX: Human Revolution

Thoughts on the upcoming release of Deus Ex: Human Revolustion

I never played one of the two games, although many of my friends told me to at least play the very first Deus Ex, due to it's amazing replayabilty and different ways of playing through it - things which new games btw lag of for many years now. After watching this E3 trailer I suddenly became really interessted in the upcoming Deus Ex. I mean I do know that this is pre-redenred stuff, but it looks damn amazing. After the trauma named Duke Nukem Forever, which was super hyped and preordered by me, I decided to not preorder this game before watching some gameplay. I didn't want to get trapped by "good" marketing again. 

Now, that  I've watched several videos like this one to the right, I really got doubts about the games quallity. It just smells like yet another game, where the developers spent $ 2 mio on a good hollywood animation studio to produce an awesome trailer like the one on the left, to get more preorders and first day buyers, but than cut the costs of the actual game development by $ 20 mio. "nevermind, these retards will buy everything. Anyone else got that special feeling of yet another ruined former awesome game title?

App review: Teamspeak 3 & some paintings for your entertaiment

Yesterday I found something new on the apple appstore I've been looking for since my first windows mobile 6.5 and android divice:

A full working Teamspeak 3 app for iOS, made by the teamspeak crew themself.


I could hardly care less about the 3,99€ and instantly downloaded it like some small child waiting for christmas. When using the app you will notice pretty fast that this app is made by the same guys who made teamspeak for PC. It's design is well thought and arranged, it's fast and intuitively controllable. On good 3G or HSDPA mobile internet you can talk without any lags.

Life significantly improved.

HoN, Mac and I

Refering to my post from the beginng of this month HoN is finally free to play.
Who would have expected that S2 Games won't increase their servers capacity? I guess everybody. Therefor the game is almost as unplayable as LoL a few weeks ago. When you finally get into a match, it's full of full retards failing beyond believe. In my first game ever today I played a 28-2 Fayde, followed by my second game righter after with a 35-3 Bloodhunter (not in my team). So, to cut a long story short: Screw this bullshit, I'll stick with LoL now untill DotA 2 comes out.

I've always been Apple-hater. I hate all those Apple hipsters and fanboys, queuing 12 hours for iPad and about 2 weeks later queuing again 24 hours for iPad 2, which has a better CPU and two cameras!!!!!
Typical conversation with my friends when they are dreaming about getting an iMac, iPhone, Mac Book air and what so ever:

Two weeks ago I sold my notebook to my sister. Last thursday, when my paycheck arrived and after hours spending on iPad, Mac and the WWDC 2011 stream and work, I thought to myself:

"Ok, whatever, let's get myself an iPad 2"

 After 3 days with my iPad 2 I'd like to review the following: It's better than any other tablet, Apple software and ideas realized in that software are at least two years away from Microsoft and Android.
There are great games and their Officeversion is fine too. It has instantly become my favorite peace of Hi-Fi I own and replaced any wish for a new notebook. Am I a huge faggot now too? :(

Ten weeks have passed since I started as apprentice on my new job earlier than planned. Last Friday was my last day as apprentice.

 On Monday the first of august my actual job training starts for the upcoming three years. After that time I will dare to call my self "Information Technology Officer" and my Boss already told me that he wants to keep me afterwards. Yay!

So three months of boredom end today. There was no boredom at all. Still I found great pleasure in writing my thoughts on this blog and I'd like to thank you for reading it so far and hope you will continue doing so for the upcoming

 I really wanted to avoid and displace this freaking sick topic, but with the media reporting new facts about what happened in Norway 24/7 and stumbling upon pictures like these two I finally decided to write my hate down.
What the fuck is wrong with this guy? He's used to be a fucked up christian racist who's mad at the government and therefore shoots children?
